yet another chandelier. notice it is made with leftovers from the mirror chandelier's repurposed frame. i got alot of mileage out of that one! this is fishing line and capiz shells inspired by a fixture i cannot afford.

although i can not put my hands on my favorite lattice photo, this one was worth showing because i love it when people really commit! i wonder what is behind that door...
speaking of color, this kitchen with lattice cabinets appeals to me in alot of ways (except the counter). i can't put my finger on it and although i would not necessarily choose it, i appreciate it.

i make terrariums often. lots of crate and barrel and pottery barn types have containers big enough to hold a slipper orchid. i love the way they look with the acid green reindeer moss.

i made it myself and so can you! this chandelier is made from fishing line, craft store mirror discs and repurposed junk store lamp parts. the super glue flakes off your fingertips in 2 to 3 weeks...ouch, but worth it!

isn't this great? i originally saw her work in pierced gold and it was a real knock out. i can not find any pictures of it on the web but you could imagine if the perspex was laser cut and etched gold with a little rope of semi-precious beads instead of string for the clasp. this bracelet is £75 at www.kabiri.co.uk. i want one! i will send her an email and maybe she will send some more photos!

hand decoration

i love hand decoration of almost any kind. i find the skill used and the curiosities expressed endlessly inspiring. this needlepoint canvas is inpired by embroideries of 19th century vienna. i was smart enough to draw some guidelines on the canvas for this one. perhaps one day i will sit down and finish it.
