a little do it yourself

i made it myself and so can you! this chandelier is made from fishing line, craft store mirror discs and repurposed junk store lamp parts. the super glue flakes off your fingertips in 2 to 3 weeks...ouch, but worth it!

I cannot BELIEVE you did this yourself? Are you from Maine (the "wicked" you use in your profile) - are you a designer? Go and visit Style Court and Absolutely Beautiful Things - you will love their blogs.

Wow Amy!! You are talented!! You've inspired me to seize my yearning to do lighting fixtures with found objects. I'll let you know how it goes.

thanks everybody!
for pink * i am not officially a designer but i am definitely trying to head in that direction. i am frustrated with so many ideas that my new years resolution is to get some of them out into reality!
AND my husband and in-laws are all from maine and new hampshire! we just moved from a 5 year stint in NH - LOVED IT!
for sylvie * i love repurposed stuff! i travel with a storage unit worth of architectural salvage and chandeliers. i will watch your blog to see what you are up to.

Great blog... see my blog on a great salvage place in Baltimore. I helped start a salvage operation in baltimore a couple of years ago (not the one in my post), but when i moved back to the US from Wales, it had really changed a lot, so i seperated myself from them.

hey! i'm up in annapolis all the time. i will have to check out the salvage place and some of your other great baltimore locations. i must have been in annapolis and dc 15 times in the last 2 years and i have never ventured into baltimore (other than the airport of course). i will fix that!
