luis caicedo

lots of curiosities from luis caicedo, another self-taught designer of objects and interiors. another great article from shelter. i would love to see the little man light (he is not this small in person) in the most serious of rooms and this gold leaf resin bowl would be great in the most traditional table setting. cute but not saccharine. i like it.

I am in love with the hand (I have a hand collection, too) and the little body on the shelf. So special. I want it. Wonder if he would be willing to share.:-)

i love it that his stuff is not perfect. it is a real collection instead of instant collection. i would love to see your collection!

Hello Amy, thank you so much for your post.

A lot of those things (specially the saints and the religious artifacts) have been in my family for generations.

Would I be willing to share the hands? can't have enough, but love that people collect them as well.

best,

Luis

eeek, amy, you are a celebrity!

On my hands, this is what I have: 4 small antique bronze hands of Buddha on stands, a larger bronze Buddha hand (newish), more than 10 porcelain glove molds, a tiny victorian porcelain hand, and two Belgian wooden mannequin hands from the 50s. Since we are only in this house for another 6 months - almost everything is in storage. ~sigh
